John Carl Stacey, Jr. passed away on October 20, 2020 at his home in Eden.

A service to celebrate the life of John will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at 2:00pm at the Fireman’s Hut, 220 Fireman’ Club Road in Eden, NC.

Mr. Stacey was born in Mingo County, WVA to the late John Carl Stacey, Sr. and Mildred Johnson Stacey.  Along with his parents he was pre-deceased by a daughter, Lola Marie Stacey, brother, Charles David Stacey, sisters; Marie Stacey, and Joyce Stacey Denham.

John was a Master Carpenter by trade and loved to refinish furniture and working with all types of wood.  He enjoyed traveling, listening to Christian Music as well as Country Music and playing billiards.   He was a Christian and loved the Lord and his family.  He was a US Navy Veteran during the Viet-Nam War era. John was a member of the North Spray Christian Church and a member of the VFW Reidsville Chapter.  He graduated from Belfry High School in Kentucky where he played football.

Surviving are wife; April Joy Robertson Stacey, son, Adam Shane Stacey, step children; Ronnie Lee Gibbs, II, Kayla Vernon Gibbs, Emilea Amber Paulanna Gibbs; brothers, William Clyde Stacey, Bryan Keith Stacey (Gee) and John Bowens, sisters; Mary Stacey Bodie, Martha Ann Stacey Curry (David), Barbara Barney Copley, and Tenasea Cook.  Twelve grand-children and five great-grandchildren.
