Elsie McCormick Alderman, 99, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2020, at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 25, at Overlook Cemetery.  Elsie will lie in state at Fair Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon until Noon on Thursday, for those that would like to come by and pay their respects. 

Mrs. Alderman was born July 1, 1920 in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late George E. and Nannie Bell Spencer McCormick.

She is survived by her four daughters, Loretta Pitt (Trevor) of Stoneville, Denita Soyars (Will) of Cascade, VA, Tracey White (Dink) and Jackie Sutliff (Joe), both of Eden; one grandchild; nine step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Arnold Alderman; grandson, J. W. Soyars; four sisters; and two brothers.
