Allen Gardner, 75, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2020, at UNC-Rockingham Health Care in Eden.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Gardner was born June 24, 1944 in Draper, NC, to the late John S. Gardner and Ethel Reece Gardner.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School and a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era.  

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Frazier Gardner, of the home;  brothers, Frankie Gardner, David Gardner, and Roger Gardner, all of Eden;  and sisters, Brenda Taylor of Georgia and Carol Pettigrew of Eden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Ralph Gardner and sisters, Jean Bowman and Charlene Gardner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Allen Gardner.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the UNC-Rockingham Health Care ICU staff for their excellent care.  They would also like to thank their neighbor, Jim Grubbs, for his loving care and support.
