Gary L. Wade, 74, of Eden, NC passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Annie Penn Hospital.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Fair Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.  The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home. 

Mr. Wade was born in Spray, April 4, 1945 to the late Houston Wade and Hattie McBride.  Gary was a restaurant owner and worked in the food industry for many years.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Eden where he was well loved.  Gary was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Monroe, NC.  Gary enjoyed listening to music, fishing and Duke Basketball.  Most important to his life was his great love for his wife, Carol and his children.  Although they were not raised together, Gary and his brothers, Albert and Ira, shared an especially close bond. 

Mr. Wade is survived by the following:  his wife, Carol Ann Wade of Eden; daughter, Andrea Lynne Wade of Eden; sons, Jason Reynolds Wade and Christopher Bringle Wade and his wife Sarah, all of Charlotte, NC; his three brothers, Albert of Seneca, SC; Ira Wade of Jamestown, NC; Henry Wade of Eden, NC; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Peyton, Morgan, Maggie; and two great-grandchildren, Ali and Wesley.

Mr. Wade is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Hattie Wade and Bringle and Dahlia McBride.  

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Gary Wade to First Baptist Church of Eden C/O Memorial Fund, 533 Glenwood Street, Eden NC 27288.
