Naomi Talbott Emerson, 94, passed away Tuesday morning, May 7, 2019, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emerson was born January 4, 1925 in Leaksville, NC, to the late John Lee Talbott and Rosa Kate Odell Talbott.  She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.  Naomi was a very religious woman.  Her family and her faith meant the world to her and she loved gospel music.

She is survived by her two sons, Albert Lee Emerson (Lucy) and Ralph Emerson, both of Eden;  daughter, Ann Woods (Tom) of Monroe;  four grandchildren, Chris Emerson (Beth) of Trinity, Richard Emerson of Eden, Steven Emerson (Stacey) of Eden, and Scott Lee Emerson (Wendy) of Tobaccoville;  and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clifford Albert Emerson;  son, Clifford Wayne Emerson;  12 siblings;  and daughter-in-law, Georgia Ann Emerson.
