Mary Purdy Pulliam age 81 of 1326 Smith Street, Eden, NC passed away on Thursday April 18, 2019.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5- 7 pm and other times at her home.

Mrs. Pulliam was born April 22, 1937 in Rockingham County to the late James and Edna Goard Purdy. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was an enjoyed working in her garden.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Jerry Franklin Pulliam; sisters, Doris Purdy and Frances Wall; brothers, Thomas and James Purdy.

Surviving are son; Joseph F. Pulliam and partner Ray Browning of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; grandson, Joseph Franklin Pulliam II and wife Anna of Jamestown, NC; sister, Arlene Wheatley of Eden; brother, Lester Purdy of Walnut Cove, NC; daugther-in-law, Myra Pulliam of Eden and numerous nieces and nephews.
