Mary Wade Bowling, age 62, of 238 Polk Street, passed away early Saturday morning, March 16, 2019 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 -11) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bowling was born on December 30, 1956 in Richmond, VA. She loved her family and especially her three grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck Bowling of the home; her daughter, Valerie Bishop and husband, Jeff of Canton, NC; her son, Chris Beckner and wife, Lauren of Eden; three sisters; Jenny McGrady of VA, Ellen Wood and husband, Morris of Eden, NC, and JoAnn Smotrys of VA; her brother, David Wade and wife, Debbie of Cascade, VA; three grandchildren, Jesse Bishop, Belle and Tanner Beckner.

Mrs. Bowling is preceded in death by both of her parents.
