Lucille Turner Cherry, 85, of 3927 Cloverwood Meadow Lane, High Point, passed away early Saturday morning, January 9, 2010, at Heartland Living and Rehab in Greensboro. She was born August 29, 1924, to the late Robert F. Turner and Willa Collier Turner in Draper (now Eden), North Carolina. Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dan View Cemetery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Draper, and retired from Fieldcrest Mills. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Russell Drewry Cherry, who passed away in August of 2008. Due to illnesses , the Cherrys moved to High Point in 2004 to be nearer their two sons, Russell "Drew" Cherry Jr. of Greensboro, and Robert "Bob" Edward Cherry and his wife, Mary Ann; two grandchildren, Russell Edward and Lindley Elizabeth Cherry.
