Wanda Parrish Stout, age 58, of 1056 Westfork Road in Cascade, VA passed away late Monday night, November 19, 2018 at Duke Hospice-Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2pm in The Parrish Family Cemetery located on Herndon Road, Axton, VA.  The family will receive friends at the home of son, Chuck; 2501 Peach Orchard Road, Axton, VA.

Mrs. Stout was born on March 19, 1960 to the late Charlie and Joyce Nichols Parrish in Danville, VA.  She worked for the United States Postal Service and also American Greetings in Danville, VA as a Merchandiser.  Wanda was the backbone of the family and took good care of them.  She loved to cook for her family and watch Duke basketball, but most of all she loved her three grandbabies.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Darrell Stout of the home; her two sons, Kenny Warren and wife, Michelle of Greensboro, NC and Charles “Chuck” Warren of Axton, VA and three precious grandchildren, Aidan Warren, Jordan Fricker, and Edwynn Warren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Thomas Parrish.

The family request with great respect that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanda’s memory to the local chapter of The American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce Street #C, Martinsville, VA  24112.
