Patsy Sue Bailey Via, age 88 of 209 Farrell Street, Eden, NC loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday evening June 29, 2018 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 pm and the family will meet at other times at the home. 

Patsy was born May 22, 1930 in Lexington, NC to the late Julian and Bronette Bailey.  She was a member of First Church of the Brethren and a member of Eastern Star.  Patsy retired from Home Savings Bank after 40 years of service.  She was a branch manager and mortage loan officer. After retiring she was not ready to stay at home so she and her daughter opened Southern Specialties Art & Gifts on Washington Street. She enjoyed five years of being a small business owner until she was ready to retire again to be a full-time grandma.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were husband, Jack Douglas Via, Sr. , sister, Mary B. Crouse; brothers, Ralph Bailey and Norman Bailey all of Lexington.

Surviving are son, Jack D. Via, Jr. and wife Melissa ; daughter, Julia Via Tuttle and husband Kenny all of Stoneville; sister, Peggy B. Bates of Lexington and sister-in-laws,Margaret Murphy of Eden and Eva Ann Via of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Heather Via Hicks and husband Mike, Jared Via and wife Dakota, Brittany Tuttle and fiancee Jeremy, Jillian Tuttle Pruitt and husband Josh and Kendall Tuttle and friend T.J.; great grandchildren, River Via and Arabella Via; many special nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loyal friend and neighbor.
