Evelyn Meeks Davis of Madison, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Redington Beach, FL. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 30 at Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born in Leaksville, NC, daughter of the late John H. and Sarah Gillie Meeks. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is her daughter, Joan Ann Covert Martin and husband, Philip of Redington Beach, FL; sisters, Christian Meeks Oakley of Eden and Sunshine Meeks Hand and husband, Jimmy of Madison; brother, Orear Meeks and wife, Louise of Eden; grandchildren, April Lynn Martin Lewis and husband, Carl, and their children, Claire and Logan of Lees Summit, MO, Sherrie Leigh Martin Roberts and husband, Greg and their children, Joseph and Davis of Registar, GA, Sandra Annette Martin Goodwin and husband, Steven and their children, Alison and Reed of Plano, TX, and William Howard Martin and wife, Donna and their son,Taylor of Redington Beach, FL.
