A. N. "Nelson" Collins, 93, of 906 Meadow Road, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesay, October 27, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Born July 12, 1917 in Stone, KY, Mr. Collins was the son of the late Harvey Lee and Emma Vaughn Collins. He was a member of Immanuel Friends Church and a member of Modern Woodmen of the World. Mr. Collins retired from Fieldcrest Mills. Surviving is his wife, Lolene Cassell Collins; his children, Brenda Harger and husband, Tom, and Nathan Collins an wife, Judy, all of Eden; sisters, Opal Bailey of Princeton, West Virginia and Eleanor Spencer of Eden; brother, Neil Collins and wife, Evelyn of Fruitland Park, Florida; brother-in-law, Roy Barber of Florida; four grandchildren, Paul Nathan Collins, Todd Collins, Rob Harger, and Tyler Harger; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and Damon Collins; and a sister, Arie Barker. The family will receive friends 1:30 pm to 2:45, on Wednesday, prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery for the graveside service; and at other times at the home of his children, Brenda Harger, 1716 Town Creek Road in Eden, and Nathan Collins, 2013 Mill Avenue in Eden.
