Judith Meeks Overby, 58, formerly of Eden, and most recently of High Point, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, NC. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, October 24, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A native of Rockingham County, Judy was born November 26, 1951, daughter of the late Riley W. Meeks and Maxine Redman Meeks. She was a former hair stylist and worked for many years in the Eden area. Judy attended Life Community Church in Greensboro. Surviving are her four sisters, Pam McLain and husband, Frank, Sue Ligon and husband, Mark, Robin Parrish, and Bunnie Lopez and husband, Manuel; brother, Riley W. Meeks, Jr. and wife, Pam; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Moran; and step-mother Arlene Meeks. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 - 3 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Pam McLain, 129 Club House Dr., Reidsville, NC.
