Those left here on this earth to honor and cherish his memory include his wife of 24 years, Cathy Evans Rorrer of the home; daughter, Ashley Paige Rorrer; son, Justin William Rorrer; sister, Delores Horne; and other loved family members and many close and dear friends. All of Fred's friends at P&G feel such a loss with the sudden passing of Fred. He was a great co-worker and an even better friend. Fred would do anything he could to help you. We all had so many great times together in Bristol and at work. He would make you laugh and smile all the time. My heart goes out to Cathy and the rest of Fred's family. I can only imagine how much they will miss him everyday. May the Lord bless you and ease your suffering and just let you feel the warmth of the love he gave you all over the years. My racing buddy will be missed and I hope he has the fastest car and bike in heaven. Roger Hurd

I was very saddened to hear of Fred's passing yesterday. I worked with Fred for many years at Procter & Gamble and we spent considerable time together over the years. Fred was a friend to me and we had much in common. We spent many hours talking about daily life in Eden and our interests. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. My very deepest condolences for your loss. Fred was a good man, a quiet man of great humility. He was an encourager to all of us, the Hunter Education Instructors he served so well. He will be sorely missed. Unfortunately, I will be teaching a class on Saturday, so I will not be able to attend the service. I know Fred was a Christian, so I rejoice that he is with Jesus, now. My heart stopped when I heard the news, and I know your pain. I pray the Lord's strength in your bodies as you progress through this time of grief, and His peace which passes understanding. God bless each of you, with good memories of Fred, and fill your hearts with His grace in the difficult days ahead.

Fred or FDR as I liked to call him was one of the greatest people I have ever known in this world. I have known Fred for 10 years and in all that time I have never known him to be mean or say a bad thing about anybody or anything. God has really taken an Angel this time. I will miss him more than words can ever express. Working with Fred at P&G was indeed a pleasure knowing that I will never see that smiling face or hear that voice again is hard. Cathy may God richly Bless you and the kids and I know that in your hearts and minds he will never be gone just like he will never truly be gone for all the friends who truly loved him. Rest in peace Freddie!

Please accept, from myself and my family, our most sincere condolences and profound sadness at this time of sorrow. I came to know Fred as a Hunter Ed instructor, and greatly depended on his advice, help, and guidance in advocating for and advancing the Hunter Education program in NC. Fred was shining example of professionalism, an accomplished hunter and outdoorsman, and most importantly a friend and colleague that will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with the Rorrer family. Please find comfort from Isaiah 41:10. Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. My Deepest Sympathy, Thomas M Wassack Asheboro, NC

My heart and prayers are with the family. I had the pleasure of having Fred as a colleague and friend. His passion for life was immeasurable. Fred was always available when I needed an instructor for the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. His passion and hunting experience made him excel as an instructor. Fred could make me laugh like no other telling his stories of his experiences in only a way that he could! We loved him and will continue to do so in our memories!

Kathy and Family. Fred was a solid Oak. He worked hard at what ever he did. He always helped us out no matter what. He came to Durham to teach the kids in our community how to shoot a pellet rifle the day after his Mother passed away. I could never repay him for that. I know his passion for the Outdoors was strong. The Outdoors Ministry at Ridgcrest Baptist Church in Durham will always remember his Sacrifice. We thank you for allowing him to come and spend time with us. That too is a big Sacrifice. Fred was awesome to be around. He is not lost though. I know where he is. I'm sure Fred had alot of friends. Someone once told me. "You don't know how big a Tree really is until you lay it on the ground" Freds roots and limbs and Fruit will always be around. He helped so many. Lord thank you for a man like Fred!! Rod

To the family of Fred Rorrer. I recently began racing Vintage Motocross again after taking years off to raise a family. While being new to Vintage Racing I got to know Fred and others that raced together in the 70's and 80's. I enjoyed the stories Fred had to tell about those "Good Old Days" of racing. Fred will be missed and my prayers go out to you. I believe Fred is in Heaven getting that Vintage Track ready for those of us still here. Tim Davis

Once in while you meet someone that you automatically know has all the qualities that you hope one day your son will have. Fred possessed those qualities and so much more. His sincerity, friendly nature, and professional demeanor is just to mention a few. I didn't get to know Fred as well as I wish I could, but I know by the folks he surronded himself with that he was a man of character, one that the North Carolina Wildlife Commission's Enforcement Division will never be able to replace. He made our division, his fellow employees and the students he came in contact with better. I look forward to seeing Fred again one day, in a much better place. God bless his family. We will continue to remember them in our prayers.
