Anne Haizlip Lawson Weaver, 76, passed away Monday evening, August 9, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 13, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Weaver was born October 16, 1933, daughter of the late John Welsey and Dorothy Edwards Haizlip. She was a 1952 graduate of Leaksville High School and a graduate of Women's Business College in Martinsville, Virginia. Mrs. Weaver was a former member of Spray United Methodist Church and later of Newllyn Street Methodist Church in Greensboro. She was a real estate broker and was the former owner of Domiciles Real Estate. Surviving is her son, Victor "Vic" Lawson and wife, Karen of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Martha Holland of Eden; brother Dr. Thomas M. Haizlip and wife, Delores of Raleigh; and aunt, Frances H. Ikenberry of Eden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lloyd Lawson; and second husband, Donald E. Weaver; and brother, John W. Haizlip, Jr. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 7 - 9 pm, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister at 518 Patrick Street in Eden. Martha, So sorry to hear of Ann's death. Spoke to her on many days when I visited my Mother, Ellie Wright, at Morehead Nursing Center. Mom was right across the hall from her.
