Louise Vaughn Hopkins, 88, of 206 Greenwood Street, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 25, at Overlook Cemetery. Ms. Hopkins was born December 25, 1921 in Leaksville, daughter of the late William Clarence and Berta Vaughn. She was a retiree of American Tobacco Company. Surviving is her son, John William Hopkins, Jr., who resides in Russia; and granddaughter, Teresa Proberts of Olathe, Kansas. To the Hopkins family, Louise was a straight forward kind of person that was so kind in nature. She was so lonely after she lost her son I hope now that they are together. You know you stop and think of how busy life is and wish you visited more. She will always have a warm place in my heart.
