Bobby Joe Foley, 71, of 501-A Benson Road, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 2010 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 9, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Foley was born January 20, 1939 in Rockingham County, son of the late Inez Foley Pratt. He was a US Army veteran and a retiree of Karastan Mill. Surviving are his wife, Denise Burchell Foley of the home; daughter, Melissa Ann Foley of Eden; three sons, Bobby J. Foley, Jr. of Greenville, NC, William Foley and wife, Polly, and Christopher Foley, both of Eden; and four grandchildren, Matthew Bailey, Danielle Bailey, Ashley and Amy Foley. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Carroll Pratt; god-mother, Mary Burchell; and brother, Bill Burchell. We wish to send our deepest condoulences in the loss of Bobby. We all worked with Bobby at Karastan Rug Mill. My Mother was Bobby's side weaver and she said that she went to work everyday just to see what Boddy would be doing that day at work. Bobby was a good guy and a good weaver. I was a supervisor there and Bobby helped me out alot with the sets and looms. Bobby also rode to work with my father n law. We will turly miss and cherrish his memory.
