Clinton "C.W." Woodrow Young, 74, of 2289 Morehead Avenue in Ridgeway, VA, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2013, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, September 1, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.
Mr. Young was born March 19, 1939 in Bassett, VA, son of the late Charlie Woodrow Young and Blanche Hudson Young. He was a retired truck driver with Fieldcrest Mills after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Clinton Travis Young of Eden; daughter, Tammie Shelton and husband, James, of Eden; two grandchildren, Tiffany Marie Shelton and Thomas Lee Shelton, both of Eden; sister, Barbara Young Ayers of Ridgeway, VA; and two nephews, Mark Young of Greenville, SC and Robert Young of Ridgeway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Young.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday (3 - 4 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Tammie, at 171 Ashley Loop in Eden.

Travis, I am very sorry about your father. It is a hard thing to go through, but your Dad is in heaven now. He doesn't have to worry about anything. Heaven is all the good and none of the bad.
