William "Bill" W. Pulliam, 80, of 180 Mountain Valley Dr. Eden, NC, passed away Wednesday July 3, 2013 at his home. The Funeral Service will be held Sunday July 7, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery in Eden.
"Bill" was born September 22, 1932 to the late Demus and Gladys DeHart Pulliam in Spray, NC. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. He worked for many years with Merita Bread Co. and was a regional manager. He achieved a bachelor's degree in business and attended Providence Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Barbara S. Pulliam of the home; daughter Billie Sigmon and husband Keith of Eden; two sons, Greg Pulliam of Winston Salem, NC and Donnie Pulliam of Richardson, TX; seven brothers, Robert Pulliam and wife Evon, Richard Pulliam and wife Elaine, Melvin Pulliam, Johnny Ray Pulliam and wife Cheryl, Dennis Pulliam and wife Linda, Charles Pulliam and wife Linda and Mack Pulliam and wife Sherry; three sisters, Rachel Harding and husband Jerry, Nancy Martin and husband Edgar and Naomi Cole; five grandchildren, Lora Sigmon-Chatham, Maria Rierson, Melisa Pulliam, Zachary Pulliam and Alex Pulliam; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Sammy Pulliam.
Visitation will be held Saturday July 6, from 6 until 8pm at Fair Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Rockingham County: 2150 NC 65, Reidsville, NC 27320.
