Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 11 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services (10-11 am).  Family will be meeting at 2120 Price Grange Road, Stoneville, NC  27048.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Tucker; an infant son, John Tucker, Jr.; her daughter, Shawna Lynn Tucker and her parents, William Irate and Mabeline Dooley.

She is survived by her son, Donald Wayne and wife Patsy of Ayersville, NC; daughter, Wendy and husband Mike Carter of Stoneville, NC.; one brother, Charles Dooley of Cascade, VA.; one sister, Brenda and husband Wayne Corum of Eden, NC.; four grandsons, Johnathan Tucker and wife Krysta of PA., Jeremy Tucker and wife Amber of Stoneville, NC., Jacob Tucker and Brandon Carter of Stoneville, NC.; 2 great grandsons, Tyler and Dillon Tucker.

Ann was a very friendly and outgoing person who never met a stranger and was also quick to speak her mind whenever she felt the need.   Over the years, she enjoyed doing many things such as sewing, crocheting and any new crafts or new gadgets that might come out she would have to order it.

Due to her love for animals, she owned many cats and different breeds of dogs because of this she learned to be a dog groomer early on and then changed and went to work for Fieldcrest.  She also went to school to be a beautician for a while then went to work for Mohawk Industries from which she retired.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice of Rockingham County for all their loving care.

John 14: 1-3

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.  You believe in God; believe in me.  My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am."

My condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Ann. Ann and Charles were the only cousins that came to visit when we were from about 8-14 years old when I lived on the farm between Draper and the Virginia line... actually the farm bordered the line. In those times just chasing lightening bugs was fun. Playing outside was the good ole' days. Charles and I spent time going through the woods. I wish I could have known her family but when I moved from Eden we all lost touch. The last time I saw Ann was about 6 months before the Covid hit. Yep, Ann was always a talker and loved her pets. She will be missed.
