Bessie Christine Joyce Craddock, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at UNC-Rockingham Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 12, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home.

Born July 21, 1928 in Rockingham County, NC, Bessie was the daughter of the late Louis T. Joyce and Jessie Martin Joyce.  She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

She is survived by her daughter, Ethel Chilton (Drewey) of Eden, Hazel Pulliam (Walter) of Statesville and Mildred Belton (Larry) of Eden; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn Priddy and Eva Chambers, both of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Oscar Craddock; five sisters, Hortense Bullins, Zora Brown, Frances Cruise, Myrtle Lester and Pauline Stewart; and brother, James Joyce.
