Mary Alice Overby Wilson, age 76 of Eden, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Wilson will lie-in-repose on Tuesday from 12 noon till 6 pm for anyone who wishes to come by and sign the register book and pay their respects.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 15, 1944 in Rockingham County to the late George Washington Overby and Eunice Carter Overby.  She retired from Leaksville Woolen Mills. Mary was a social butterfly and loved taking care of people, especially her family. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Gurney Levie Wilson, Sr.; son, George Michael Wilson; daughter, Ann Kennedy; brother, Coy Overby and sister, Peggy Burgess.

Surviving are sons, Gurney L. Wilson, Jr. and wife Kathy and Tony Frazier and wife Kim; daughter, Jennifer Tilley; brother, Milton Overby and wife Carol all of Eden, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
