Mr. Jack Wilson LaPrad, Sr., 83, of Eden passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

 A graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  Military Honors will be provided by the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard. He will lie in repose at Fair Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 20th from 12 noon to 6:00pm for those wishing to come by and pay their respects.  The service will be livestreamed on Facebook for those who cannot attend the service.

 Jack was born June 3, 1937 in Roanoke, VA to the late Woodrow LaPrad and Virginia Gunter LaPrad. He was a US Army Veteran.  Mr. LaPrad was the owner of Jack’s Mobile Service Station in Eden.  He was a member of the Merriman Street Wesleyan Church of Eden and a Lifetime member of the Eden Moose Lodge. Jack loved Gospel Bluegrass music.

 He is survived by his son, Jack LaPrad, Jr. (Kim) of Powder Springs, GA, daughters; Melissa LaPrad and Patrice LaPrad both of Eden, brothers;  Lem LaPrad of Rock Hill, SC and Woody LaPrad of Eden, sisters;  Norma Jean Dalton of Ridgeway, VA, Sally Johnson of Eden and Faye Locke of Mount Airy, NC, five grandchildren; Jack Wilson LaPrad, III, Carter LaPrad, Gunter LaPrad, Amber Land, Grace Gauldin and 2 great-grandchildren, Mallory LaPrad and Virginia LaPrad.

 Mr. LaPrad was preceded in death by his wife Edith Gibson LaPrad.
