So sorry to hear of Mrs. Barker's passing. We live just beyond her house on Cascade Ave - in the edge of Virginia. I always enjoyed watching her working in her yard as I drove by her house ... mowing, raking ... working mighty hard. Knew how she enjoyed being with the guys in the hospital when her grandson was there. Know Mrs. Barker left a lasting impression on those young fellows. I guess she grew up working hard - like a man - ... always had something on her head and protected her skin from that damaging sun. She just amazed me with her work ethic. Her yard was her love. Sorry for your loss... Know she is grooming the flower beds in heaven.

I am so sorry to hear about Allene. I remember the Sundays my mom Doris (Allenes sister) would take us to her house for Sunday lunch. Was always a crowd and everyone was welcome. She was one of the sweetest women I have ever met. Rest In Peace Allene.
