Fred “Ray” (Slick) Earles, 76, of Eden, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, January 7, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He will lie in repose on Wednesday afternoon from 12 Noon to 6 PM at Fair Funeral Home for those wishing to come by to pay their respects.

Born March 3, 1944 in Rockingham County, NC, Ray was the son of the late Walter Marshall Earles and Lucy Bennett Earles. He was a retiree of Sara Lee, Inc.

He is survived by his brother, Conny Earles of Eden; sister, Nancy Meadows of Eden; two step-sisters, Shirley Cox (Don) and Betty Carter (Marvin), both of Eden; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Earles and Walter Earles.
