Mary Lee Boyte Perkins, 74, passed away early Sunday morning, November 15, 2020, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 18, at Overlook Cemetery. She will lie in repose on Tuesday afternoon from 12 Noon to 6 PM for those that would like to come by to pay their respects and sign her register book.

Born June 26, 1946 in Eden, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Boyte and Mattie DeHart Boyte. She was a former caregiver for many loved ones.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Perkins Merrick (Mike) of Reidsville and Heather Perkins Wakefield of Eden; five grandchildren, Logan Boothe, Noah Dalton, Hope Boothe, Maddie Boothe and Jacob Wakefield; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Dalton and Nylah Dalton; honorary granddaughter, Kenna Slaughter; sister Faye Clark of Eden; and special nieces, Glenda Clark and Linda Holley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Perkins, along with multiple siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Spray Christian Church, 521 Washburn Ave., Eden, NC 27288.

She was blessed to have a bearutiful family and I know she loved you all dearly. I will be praying for you during this time of grief and sorrow but you can be proud of being such wonderful daughters and grandchildren who loved her so much and let her know it. I stayed with Mary Lee and Maddie starting at age 3 on and off until I started school.She took me to Vacation Bible School at Trinity Wesleyan when I was 5 and she was about 11. We are related because my grandmother was her Daddy's double first cousin, Maggie Boyte Haynes. We all lived on Warren Ave. She visited the neighborhood early last Spring and we talked standing in my Mom's driveway She was always sweet and easy going. She cannot be replaced.
