Suzon Lynn Grogan Martin of Eden, passed away October 23, 2020 at UNC Rockingham Hospital in Eden, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 582 Southwood Drive, Eden, NC., burial to follow at Ridgeview Cemetery. Suzon will lie-in-repose at Fair Funeral Home on Monday October 26th from 12 noon to 6:00pm.

Suzon was born June 20, 1951 in Leaksville to the late Bobby and Ollie Burgess Grogan.She was a 1974 graduate of UNCG with a Master’s in Speech Pathology. Mrs. Martin was very active in her church and never met a stranger. Following her career in Speech Pathology, she joined the family business The Grogan Center where she retired after 35 years

She is survived by her husband, Ron Martin of 24 years; one sister, Sherry Grogan of Greensboro, one step daughter, Alyson Carter of Greensboro, two step sons, Christian Martin of Eden and Patrick Martin of Annapolis, MD, and nine grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a step daughter, Noel Shook.

Suzon was such a kind, compassionate person. I remember her from our junior high and high school years, and she always had a smile on her face! In the past 10 years I would see her at Morehead Nursing Center where she would be volunteering her time and talents. She would make life brighter for the residents. She was an angel on earth, and now her reward is a life in Heaven. God bless all who mourn her passing.

I know God has a plan, but losing a several members as a time tests our faith! Ron and Sherry, know you are loved. Suzon had an amazing smile encompassed her family with such concern and caring. Her Grogan family reached many in Eden, and everybody in Eden will miss her. Reach out to your friends and music lovers to help you daily. I remember in 1986 when you and Pat came to Chapel Hill hospital to comfort my daughter and me at the deaths of my husband and daughter, I hope my love reaches out to you. Joyce-
