Peggy Myers Shreve, 87, of Eden, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020, at her residence.

Peggy was born April 7, 1933, to the late Thomas Everett and Elizabeth (Joyce) Myers. She worked at the Draper YMCA then continued at the Eden YMCA. Peggy retired from Belk’s in Eden after many years as a Sales Associate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bill) Shreve; one daughter, Billie K. Shreve and fifteen sisters and brothers.

A graveside service will be Tuesday 10 am at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. Peggy will lie-in-state 8 am to 6 pm Monday at Fair Funeral Home for anyone wanting to come by and pay their respects and sign the register book.

Peggy is survived by two daughters, Robin Shreve of Eden and Rene (Keith) Mabe of Eden; two grandchildren, Dakota (Casey) Mabe and Ali Wright; one great granddaughter, Lucy Wright; one sister, Geraldine (Curtis) Scott of Eden and one brother, Buddy Joe (Pat) Myers of Ellisboro, NC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County or Barry Joyce Cancer Foundation.
