David and Larry and Beatrice, Mine and Kathy's condolences to all of you. As a Great Nephew, I thought a lot of Uncle Manfred. I use to love him a kid. He was always kind and thought of people and did a lot for people who needed help. Although life got in the way and years went by that I did not see him, I was able to come see him a few months ago when he was doing pretty well although in rehab. Uncle Manfred told me a story of his time in WWII of his service in the Army Air Corp and his flights over the Himalayas "The Hump" and how dangerous they were. He told me of a book I could read to learn about it. I got that book. I never forgot him nor will I . When I came to see him, I had him sign that book although he didn't write it. He was proud of his service and it made my day. I'm so glad I saw him before he parted this life. Uncle Manfred, "Go Rest High on that Mountain, for your work on Earth is done. I will see ya again some day. Love Stan

Family Members , He was one of the good guys. He was the first Dentist that I had and that was in 1955. He removed a tooth and filled several others during the year. It was many, many years later that those fillings had to be replaced. I was apprehensive my first visit and he suggested "GAS." I had never heard of gas but he assured me it would be ok. He had me fold my hands and wiggle my two index fingers so he would know when I was asleep. I never remember seeing my fingers move. I am retired Air Force and never knew Dr. Blanchard was in the military. As I said he was one of the good guys.
