Donald "Donnie" Ray Curry, Sr., 56, of  Eden, passed away Tuesday morning, February 11, 2020, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County, after a short battle with lung cancer.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 15, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 355 Tanglebrook Trail in Eden.

Donnie was born March 2, 1963 in Martinsville, VA.  He was the co-owner and operator of Cars-R-Us.  He enjoyed doing mechanic work, fishing and spending time at the beach but most of all, Donnie loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Crouch Curry, of the home;  daughter, Crystal Brooks and husband, Court, of Eden;  seven grandchildren, Skylar, Kolton and Baby Jadon Ray Brooks, Kraven and Ivy Curry, and Adalee and Zachary Chenault;  his mother, Gracie Smith Curry of Eden;  brothers, Kenneth Curry and Dwayne Curry, both of Eden;  special nephew, Chris Smith and wife, Krystal, of Eden;  special niece, Kimberly Curry, of Eden;  and special cousin, Darrell Curry and wife, Tammy, of Eden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Fredrick Curry, and his son, Donald "Jamie" Ray Curry, Jr.
