I wish to extend my condolences to the family. I pray that God spread the peace that surpasses all understanding across the family during this time of mourning. Skip was the example of a fine Police Officer and friend. Growing up in Eden I had a few run ins with Skip and his positive and honest attitude impacted my life. I hold all LEO to the bar set by Skip. I visited Osborne Baptist Church 1 time and of the 2000 in attendance he was the only member to come greet me and welcome me to the church. That's what made him unique in Gods eyes caused he didnt mind standing out or standing up. He was a mans man. The world lost a solid one but praise God we who are saved will see him again one day. Rest easy Skip, you've earned this, you fought the good fight. God Bless and God speed! See ya soon......

I knew Skip at Morehead High and then our paths diverged. I am deeply impressed to see how great a life Skip has lived. I am proud to have known such a fine person and am sorry I didn’t know him better.
