Donald Andrew Denny, 71, of Eden, passed away Tuesday evening, January 21, 2020, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 27, at Immanuel Friends Church with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Military rites will be performed by the Rockingham County Military Honor Guard and the US Navy. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 5 - 7 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Mr. Denny was born August 21, 1948 in Draper, NC, to the late George Irvin Denny and Nona Rowsey Denny.  He was a US Navy veteran and a retiree of Mohawk Industries.  He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, playing golf at Lynrock Golf Club, and traveling.

He is survived by his two sons, Bryan Denny (Erin) of Angier, NC and Jason Denny (Michelle) of Thompson Station, TN;  two grandchildren, Danna Denny and Andrew Denny; brother, Ronald Denny (Janice) of Stoneville;  sister, Diane Carter (Francis) of Stoneville;  nieces, Jessica Carter and Melissa Joyce (James);  and nephew, Cameron Kendrick (Julie).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Danna Kendrick Denny and a brother, Larry Denny.

I know that he loved his grand kids(Danna and Andrew) as he showed it each and every time he came to visit. Jason , Michelle, Danna and Andrew, My heart is hurting. James and I are so sorry that Donald has passed away. We enjoyed him so much and I was honored to have him around the family table , or shooting finger flingers at the living room walls with the grand kids, and many other fun things families do around Sunday dinners and family time together...
