Ryan Nester Pinkard, 48, of Calloway, VA, passed away Wednesday evening, December 11, 2019, at High Point Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, December 15, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Martinsville, VA.

He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Morgan Pinkard, of Eden; son, Chase Len Pinkard, of Petersburg, VA; one grandchild; sisters, Pat Keith Carter (Johnnie) of Martinsville, VA and Carol Keith Poff (Michael) of Sterling, VA; and brother, Michael Keith (Sharon), Floyd County, VA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Pinkard, and his mother, Catherine Nester Pinkard Cox.

I am so sorry to hear this. Ryan and I grew up together, we rode motorcycles, went fishing and camping, swimming, pretty much all the good stuff teenagers could do back then. Unfortunately I lost touch with him shortly after high school, I moved away and just lost touch with everyone, I wish I hadn’t. Ryan was a dear friend through the times we shared in those “good ole glory days”. I would like to offer my deepest and most sincere condolences to his family.
