Sunshine Meeks Hand, 85, Passed away on November 22, 2019 at the Brian Center.  Ms. Hand was born in Leaksville, NC. to the late John and Sarah Tilley Meeks.  She graduated from Leaksville High School, then worked for 18 years as a Telephone Operator and Plant Clerk.  She loved her family and was especially fond of her granddaughter.  Sunshine is survived by her husband, Jimmy Hand, son, Brevis Davis, granddaughter, Brianna Davis and great grandson Brent Michael Barrett; niece, Joan Martin. She was preceded by her parents, John Henry Meeks,Jr. and mother, Sarah Gilley Meeks; sisters, Evelyn Davis, Alberta Sams and Christine Oakley; brother, Orear Meeks.  The service will be held at the convenience of the family.
