Jean R. Bidwell, age 82, of Eden, NC passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center. 

A memorial service will be held at 10 am August 10, 2019 at St. Joseph of the Hills Catholic Church. 

Jean Bidwell was born in Winterville, ME on May 8, 1936 to the late Alvin L Bolstridge and Mary Pinette Bolstridge.  She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Lady’s Guild at St. Joseph’s of the Hills Catholic Church and Red Hat Society of Eden.  The most important things to Jean were her family and her faith in God.  Jean leaves behind her beloved cats, Jingles and Mary.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Jean is survived by her son, Jay Goff and wife Patricia of CT; her daughter, Beth Goff-Plourd and husband, Bill Plourd of NC; her grandchildren, Aaron Goff and wife, Tracy, Robyn Goff, Kristen Evans and husband, James, Danielle Plourd, and fiancé, Graham Whitaker and Craig Plourd and wife, Christina; her great-grandchildren, Austin Goff, Liam Evans, Morgan Evans, Jacob Evans, Lee Plourd and Alice Plourd.

Jean is also survived by her brother, James Bolstridge of CT and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean Bidwell’s memory to either, Humane Society of Eden or St. Joseph of the Hills Catholic Church.
