Doris "Van" Meadors Shropshire, 80, passed away Sunday evening, August 4, 2019, at the Brian Center Heath and Rehab Center in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, August 8, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shropshire was born May 20, 1939 in Spray, NC, to the late Dock Thomas and Ollie Mason Meadors. She was a member of North Spray Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Warren of Eden; two sons, Rodger Stewart and wife, Josette, of Shanghai, China and Cecil Stewart of Eden; seven grandchildren, Amber Warren, Ashlee Warren, Dustin Stewart, Summer Stewart, Savannah Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, and Jarret Stewart; one great-grandchild, Brantley Wayne Strader; and sister, Dollie Cheshire of Asheboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris "Beverly" Stewart and son, Thomas Stewart.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brian Center Nursing and Rehab, 226 N. Oakland Avenue, Eden, NC 27288.
