Jocelyn Ross Kastenbaum, 63, formerly of Eden and currently of 7435 16th Manor in Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 27, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Eden with entombment to follow in Overlook Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday evening (July 26), 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kastenbaum was born November 30, 1955 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Macon R. and Ruby Fitzhugh Ross.

She is survived by her daughter, Celeste Renee Ross of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Linda Merrick of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Macon R. Ross, Jr. of Orlando, FL and Dudley C. Ross of Cobbs Creek, VA; and niece, Elaine Merrick of Richmond, VA.

Celeste, I am so sorry for you loss. I was good friends with your mom growing up. Your Mom was also in my wedding. Your Mom was my partner in crime from when we were preschoolers till Junior High when my family moved away to FL and then to Asheville. We would get spankings together for our antics. I remember so much about my childhood and most every memory had your mom in it with me. The one thing that still reigns the highest in my memories was when she played Golda in Fiddler on the Roof in HS. I made the trip from Asheville to watch her perform. She was excellent!!
