Ron and Family. I was so saddened to hear of your precious Mother's passing. She was a special lady and friend. She always had a kind word for those she knew and was truly a Southern Lady. I enjoyed times in the past seeing her on Sunday's at Emmanuel Baptist and working with her years ago at the Eden Police Department. She faught her health issues quietly and that made me admire her more. She certainly left her special stamp on those she knew. She'll be missed. My prayers are with you and the rest of her family for each of you to feel God's peace that passeth all understanding.

My condolences to Alma's family, especially to her sister and my high school classmate Mary Lou Champion. Though I rarely saw Alma, we conversed on E-mail and I usually called her "Tracy", a nickname my mother and the other ladies at O'Mansky's Store on Washington Street gave her when she was first a Meter Maid with the police department. May God bless all of Alma's family in your loss.

Ronnie your mom was one of the most precious ladies I have known. Her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was shown in many ways. Her smile was contagious! Her laughter! I was privileged having her for a Sunday School teacher at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She will be missed by so many but thankfully we will see her again one day in Heaven. Praying for each of you during this time.

Heaven is sweeter today, for sure. Alma was such a kind, witty, gracious ambassador for Christ, and she was a dear friend to many. From my days covering the Eden Police Department for the local newspaper in the 1980s, my wife and I developed a lasting friendship with Alma that extended well beyond her retirement and my change in careers. She represented all that was good about local law enforcement agencies. I can't wait to see her and Walter again one day soon.

We have known and loved Alma for many years. We shared lots of meals and laughs and talks. She was funny and thoughtful and she really loved Gracie. We always joked about how Walter would turn over if he knew Alma had a cat! We will miss her. She was special. Special to us and many others. 😥
