Monnie "Maxine" Landreth Watkins, 82, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 25, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends 5 - 7 PM Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home.

Maxine was born July 16, 1936 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Walter Columbus Landreth and Ann Hopkins Landreth.  She was a member of Leaksville Moravian Church and was a retiree of Karastan Rug Mill after 57 years of service.  

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Watkins Rogers;  half-sister, Nancy Landreth Reynolds of Eden;  and nephew, Don Reynolds of Chesapeake, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Watkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leaksville Moravian Church, 712 McConnell Avenue, Eden, NC  27288 or to Friends of Eden Animal Shelter, 1027 Rhodes Road, Eden, NC  27288.

Lisa I"m so sorry to hear of Maxine passing. We worked together for several years, now i am the last of the ones from designing when I went to work there. Maxine used to come get me when she had a math problem,we would laugh at her needing help with simple problems.
