Edgar (Eddie) William Barker, Jr. age 76 of 970 Price Grange Road, Stoneville passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Military Rites by the U.S. Navy and the Rockingham County Honor Guard followed with Masonic Rites.  Burial will follow at the Barker Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Eddie was born May 29, 1942 in Rockingham County to the late Edgar Barker, Sr. and Nannie Brown Barker.  He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Barker was  Past Master of the Leaksville Masonic Lodge and the Dan River Masonic Lodge and was Scottish Rite and member of MESA @ White Stone Masonic Retirement Home.  Eddie was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired Truck Driver.

Surviving are wife, Sue Scott Barker of the home; daughters, Denise Barker Tuggle of Eden and Tracey Barker DeDona (Bruce) of Greensboro;  sons Franklin Mark Walker (Dana) of Stoneville and Edgar "Trey"  William Barker III ( Sandy) of Stoneville; grandchildren, Jordan Mark Walker, Melia Beth Gibson, Summer Cassell Morrison, Keith Joseph Clark, Kaitlin Brooke Walker, Tyler Cade Barker, Taylor Nicole Tuggle, Morgan Paige Barker, Alexis Rae Tuggle, Isabella Grace Marie DeDona, Adam Lee Walker and Olivia Love DeDona; great grandson, Jonah Gage Morrison

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Jackson Barker and sister Linda Barker Woods.
