Walter Mitchell Boyd, age 62 of 189 Sinclar Street, Ridgeway, VA. passed away on Saturday June 30, 2018 at Hospice Home of Dobson, NC.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC. The family will receive friends on Monday evening 6-8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Kristie Rorrer 195 Beaver Run, Eden, NC.

Mr. Boyd was born March 8, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to the late Damon and Maydell Caldwell Boyd. He was employed as the maintence mechanic at Chatmoss Country Club. Mitchell enjoyed talking and repairing CB Radio's in his spare time.

Preceding him in death along with his parents was brother, Damon F. Boyd, Jr.

Surviving are wife; Linda Williams Boyd of the home: children, Beverly B. Farmer ( D.E. Farmer), Walter Mitchell Boyd, Jr. and Christopher Joe Boyd (Michelle); grandchildren, Jonathan Boyd, Airic Osborne, Tyler Boyd, Gina Farmer, Hayden Boyd, Kaleb Boyd and Peyton Boyd; step-grandchildren, Sierra Farmer, Lindsey Farmer, Dylan Martin and Phillip Martin; sister, Ruthie Boyd and Kristie Rorrer (Larry).

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Mitch. We went to school from Lakeside Elementary in Spray, now Eden, and I remember he always had a smile and was a nice guy. I pray you all will find that peace that passeth all understanding.
