Barbara Jean Snow Evans, 79, of 240 Lester Road in Stoneville, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Evans Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Barbara was born October 8, 1938 in Leaksville, NC, to the late George and Vallie Isley Snow.  She was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 1957 and attended Friendly Worship Center in Ridgeway, VA.  Barbara worked alongside her husband for many years in their trucking company, doing whatever needed to be done and managing the office.  Barbara loved to cook for and look after her family.  She was the backbone of the Evans family and the go-to person that "kept it all together".

She is survived by her son, Clyde "Booger" Evans, Jr. of Stoneville;  grandson, Clyde L. Evans, III and wife, Hannah;  and two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Georgia Evans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lester Evans, Sr.;  and siblings, Rosa-Ann Snow, Brenda Faye Snow and George Waverly Snow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
