Nelda Jean Evans Amburn, 78, of 430 Moir Street in Eden, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 1, 2018, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, February 6th at Fair Funeral Home Chapel . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 - 3 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Nelda was born February 6, 1939 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Worth S. Evans and Norma White Evans.

She is survived by her three children, Sue Joines and husband, George Sykes of St. Pauls, NC, Tim Amburn and Jay Amburn, both of Eden; sisters, Carol Rogers of Eden and Myrtle Bojorquez of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Michael Amburn of Fayetteville and Antonio Lawson of Windsor; and great-granddaughter, Navaha Hargrove.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fair Funeral Home, PO Box 337, Eden, NC 27289, to assist with the cost of services.
