Myrtle Martin Wray, 90, of 666 Highland Park Drive in Eden, passed away on Sunday morning, December 14, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, December 17, at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Wray was born on October 23, 1924 to the late Moir and Gertrude Bowman Martin. She worked for DuPont in Martinsville, Virginia as a supervisor where she retired after 35 years.

Mrs. Wray is survived by two daughters, Ginger Powell and husband, Bill of Reidsville and Gayle Ayers of Eden; two sisters, Macel Jones and Marie Younts and husband, William of Eden; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; She loved and was loved by all of her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wray was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Wray; and sisters, Evelyn Amburn, Hazel Horton, Jackie Whitt, Rachel Flynn, Margie Price, and Olene Barnes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon, 2 - 3 PM, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
