Condolences For Caldwell H. "Bubba" Hobbs

June 23, 1948 - July 4, 2020

Vicki, just saw the sad news. Words cannot express my heartbreak for you! Even though I understand your loss it still does not help at this time. I did not know Bubba was so sick. It was a surprise to me when I saw this sometime back on FB. There is nothing that anyone can say or do at this particular time to help! I will remember you and the family in my thoughts and prayers! My condolences to all! Sincerely , Dianne Stovall

Bubba and I were childhood friends. I spent memorable times with him when his family attended a church where my father was the pastor. We lived in Greensboro, and Dad would drop me off at the Hobbs home. I would spend days in row with Bubba, especially during the summer months. I remember those Saturday morning pancake breakfasts prepared by his dad who was a cook in the Army during WWII. I remember turning the dining room table into a ping pong table, going to Vacation Bible School at the little church down the street from their house, and our families getting together to celebrate Christmas. As we got older, I kept up with Bubba from a distance. Thankful for his military service in Viet Nam...I think the last time I saw Bubba was at the hospital just before his mother’s passing. I am thankful I got to speak with Bubba recently. Thankful for his testimony regarding what was most important; peace with Jesus and love for family. Sincere condolences to Bubba’s family.

Dear Vicki, Jerry and all the family. We were shocked to see that Bubba had passed away. We had not heard that he was sick. Mike and I have always thought so much of him. He was a really special person. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. May God comfort you all during this very difficult time. Love and Prayers, Mike and Teresa

Sorry for the loss. I Retired from USPS Greensboro Maintenance and live in Reidsville. At one time I had to go to Reidsville regularly. I enjoyed the conversation and the smile of Mr Hobbs. I’m sorry and he will be missed.

Me and my brother K.B. didn't find out about his passing till later. We are very sorry for your loss and we know Bubba will be deeply missed. He was always smiling with that boyish grin. Hope the family will cherish his memory.
