It was a tribute to know a man of his integrity. A man of change, that allowed the City of Eden to prosper and grow into a healthier town. A man that believed in improving our school system, to better serve our student population. He will be remembered as an icon, that represented education and industry. Good Christian man, with Morales and values. Awesome father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. It will take many people to fill his shoes in the community. May God comfort the family during this time.

Another old friend gone to his reward. Wayne and I made so many milk shakes and ice cream cone and sundaes at Meadow Dairies back in the 1950s. He was good friend and I treasure my memories of him. Prayers for the family I know he will missed by so many. In Christian love, Keith Hundley

Please accept my sincerest condolences in the loss of Wayne. He was our mailman years ago when I worked as a secretary at the end of Klyce Street. He always had something nice to say about folks and interesting things that might have happened during his route. Since retirement, whenever we'd see him and Mrs. Kirkmsn at a venue in town, he'd always speak a quiet "hello" and both would give us inviting smiles. I know he'll be missed by many. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray you all feel God's loving presence with you each of you in the days to come.

I remember Mr. Kirkman as our neighborhood mailman. Honorable, trustworthy and kind, he represented the best of those in authority. His sons were also leaders in our scout troop. Good family, sad for your loss. The world was a better place because of him. Condolences, Jerry Garrett

Marjorie, please accept my heart felt condolences, I was deeply saddened by Wayne's passing. Wayne hired me at Meadow Dairies at the age of 15. He was truly my mentor. He not only taught me how to make the second best milk shake in Eden(we know who made the best), but he taught me how to deal with all types of people. Those lessons have been invaluable to me all my life.
