Obituary For Jo Anne Harris January 22, 1938 - June 6, 2013 Jo Anne "Mama Jo" Harris, 75, of 1913 Mill Avenue in Eden, finished her earthly journey and ascended into heaven, Thursday afternoon, June 6, 2013, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 10, at Danview Cemetery. Miss Harris was born January 22, 1938 in Rockingham County, NC, a daughter of the late Geoffery A. and Leone Lemons Harris. She was affiliated with Draper United Methodist Church. Miss Harris was a retired owner and operator of various business ventures in the surrounding areas. She is survived by her uncle, Martin "Fat" Harris; aunts, Shirley Williams, Julia Somers, Arline Hopkins, and Mable Lemons; and numerous cousins and friends. Also surviving are her special "sister" and caregiver, Linda C. Harris along with other caregivers, Gae Randal, Frances Warren and Donald Warren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday (1 - 1:45 PM) at Fair Funeral Home, before preceding to Danview Cemetery; and other times at the home of Frances and Donald Warren, 626 Highland Park Drive in Eden.
