Obituary For Vivian Jones Minter December 30, 1918 - April 16, 2013 Vivian Jones Minter, age 94 of 1935 Scott Street, Eden, passed away early Tuesday morning April 16, 2013 at her home. A funeral service will be held 3pm Thursday at Immanuel Friends Church with burial to follow at Dan View Cemetery. Mrs. Minter was born December 30, 1918 in the Draper section of Eden to the late Jesse and Fuchsia Callahan Jones. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of Immanuel Friends Church. Preceding her in death along with her parents was husband Paul Minter and son-in-law, Jimmy Shropshire. Surviving are sons; Jimmy Minter and Ronnie Minter (Becky Bowman); daughter, Meryle Shropshire all of Eden; sisters, Beatrice Cochran of Eden, Agnes Frye (Willie) of Winston Salem; Deloris Chatham (Hugh) of Montgomery, Ala.; brothers, Veril Jones (Jorie) of Stuart and Bobby Jones (Penny) of Danville; grandchildren, Greg, Robin, Todd, Kristi, Steve, Jimmy Lane, Jennifer, Cheryl and Keith; 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter , 122 N. Rickman Street, Eden.
