Obituary For Steve Franklin Barnes March 12, 1948 - November 13, 2012 Steve Franklin Barnes, 64, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 PM on Monday, November 19, at the home of his brother, Jerry Barnes, 14100 Hwy 87 North in Eden. Mr. Barnes was born March 12, 1948 in Rockingham County; son of the late John Hanna and Margaret Edwards Barnes. He was a retired carpet layer for Midtown Furniture. He is survived by four brothers, James Lee "Mac" Barnes, Milton Lee Barnes, Kenneth "Shorty" Barnes and Jerry Barnes all of Eden; two sisters, Ruth Elaine Ladd and Brenda Ann Barnes of Eden.
