Obituary For Charlie McCants Wise August 20, 1928 - August 6, 2012 Charlie McCants Wise, 83, passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2012, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville Beach, FL. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. Burial will follow in Asbury Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Westfield, NC. Mr. Wise was born August 20, 1928 in Winnsboro, SC, son of the late Charlie F. and Leona Huffman Wise. He was a 1945 graduate of Stoneville High School, where he was a member of the basketball team that won the State Championship. Mr. Wise was a US Army veteran achieving the ran of Corporal and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Neptune Baptist Church in Neptune, FL. He retired from Ryder-PIE Trucking Company. He is survived by his daughter, Jann W. MacInnes of Gainesville, FL; son, Charlie M. Wise, Jr. of Jacksonville Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Joshua MacInnes of Jacksonville, FL, Amanda McNeeley of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Megan Eddy of Jacksonville, FL and Charlie M. Wise, III of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sister, Kathleen W. Mills of Eden, NC; and sister-in-law, Gayle R. Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Rogers Wise and brother, Carl Wise.
